New help for people with CF or conditions that cause malabsorption of fat-soluble vitamins

April 23, 2007 - Johnson City, TN - Yasoo Health Inc announced the U.S. launch of AquADEKs™, a novel nutritional supplement designed to advance the standard of nutritional care for cystic fibrosis patients and other medical conditions that cause malabsorption of fat-soluble vitamins.

AquADEKs is an antioxidant rich, multivitamin and mineral supplement specially formulated with proprietary microsphere technology to overcome malabsorption of fat-soluble vitamins and antioxidants. AquADEKs supplies effective levels of antioxidants including beta-carotene, coenzyme Q10, and gamma-tocopherol, to improve the compromised antioxidant status and help reduce oxidative stress in cystic fibrosis patients. A formulation of these antioxidants was clinically evaluated at the University of Colorado Children's Hospital and results showed that these antioxidants were readily absorbed and that blood levels were normalized. In addition, the formulation improved key markers of lung inflammation. AquADEKs is formulated with higher levels of vitamins D and K to reflect the current scientific evidence and latest research.

AquADEKs is available both in liquid and softgels and is manufactured under cGMP, the highest quality standards used for pharmaceutical products.

AquADEKs was developed by Yasoo Health Inc. and will be distributed in the US by Axcan Pharma, a leading multinational specialty pharmaceutical company focused on gastroenterology. International distribution is under negotiation.
